Medical bills, insurance forms and other related paperwork can often appear complex and confusing, so Northwestern gives you the information and support you need to make informed decisions.
Northwestern works with your health insurance company to determine your treatment coverage options.For international patients using health insurance to pay for services, we will work with both you and your insurance company to help determine what services your insurance policy covers. Your insurance company will have the most accurate information regarding which services are covered and which are not. We’ll make sure you have all the information you need to make informed decisions about your treatment coverage options.

Northwestern provides detailed estimates to simplify billing for self-payment patients.Self-paying patients receive a detailed estimate of medical care costs before their first appointment. Estimates include all of the procedures and services you will receive. Additional costs may be incurred for incidental charges such as hotel, transportation and phone calls. If you need additional treatment that is not included in the original estimate, you may need to arrange for additional payment before receiving those services. Full payment of your estimated amount is requested before receiving any medical services.
