Fertility and Reproductive Medicine
Fertility and Reproductive Medicine at Northwestern Medicine is widely regarded as one of the best infertility units in the United States. Our eight board-certified physicians have over 10 decades of experience and have helped thousands of individuals and couples become parents.

Every patient is unique and we tailor our evaluations and treatment plans to individual patient needs. We understand the stress caused by difficulties with fertility and reproductive medicine and use personalized care to guide patients through treatment with compassion and understanding.

Our internationally acclaimed clinician researchers are striving to develop and improve reproductive technologies. Patients benefit from the most modern and leading-edge technologies and treatments available.

All clinical services are provided in a single location in downtown Chicago by a team of highly trained physicians, nurses, sonographers, embryologists and two PhD clinical psychologists that will help navigate the emotional toll treatment can cause on patients and their families.

A wide array of comprehensive fertility options are offered in a comfortable and supportive environment, including:
  • In-vitro Fertilization (IVF): Donor Oocyte, Donor Sperm, Gestational Surrogacy, Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
  • Fertility Preservation
  • Preimplantation Genetics Diagnosis
  • Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
  • Ovulation Induction (OI)
  • Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation (COH)

  • Coping with the stress of fertility treatment
  • Understanding and adjusting to the feelings of grief and loss that may arise if you need to use donor eggs, sperm, or a gestational carrier
  • Exploring the decision to become a single parent
  • Treating depression or anxiety
  • Managing relationship issues with your partner, family, and/or friends
