Our pediatricians believe in health education and address the concerns of both patient and parent. In addition to general pediatric care, The Renée Schine Crown Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a secured Level III care unit is on our medical campus. At the NICU, we provide state-of-the-art care for premature and seriously ill newborns. Level III is the highest possible designation for NICUs. Delivering Your Baby at Prentice Women's Hospital: Before you deliver your baby at Prentice, you must choose a Northwestern Medicine pediatrician. During your stay at Prentice, the Northwestern Medicine pediatrician will examine your baby before he or she is admitted and care for them until it's time to go home. Please note: The pediatrician who cares for your baby in the hospital does not have to be the same pediatrician who follows your baby after you leave Prentice. If you need assistance finding a pediatrician to admit your baby to Prentice, call International Health at 312.926.1089 and one of the representatives will assist you. Please inform the representative that you are looking for a pediatrician during your stay at Prentice Women's Hospital. |
