Centers and Programs
Comprehensive Epilepsy Center
We are a designated National Association of Epilepsy Centers, Level 4 Epilepsy Center. We specialize in intractable seizures and offer advanced treatments, including surgery. Our Women with Epilepsy program is nationally recognized in the care of women with seizure disorders.
Northwestern Medicine Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center
We are recognized by the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) as a worldwide Center of Excellence. We offer comprehensive care for Huntington’s Disease, and are one of a few Wilson Disease Centers of Excellence in the world.
We offer comprehensive care for stroke and cerebrovascular disease, including advanced diagnostic imaging, treatment and rehabilitation. Our multidisciplinary team is experienced in treating complex cases requiring advanced technology, specialized diagnosis and higher levels of treatment.
Peripheral Nerve Program
We provide the highest quality care for peripheral nerve injuries and diseases, including surgical options, and offer state-of-the-art imaging to diagnose and treat patients with nerve tumors and reduce the risk of damaging functioning nerve fibers.
Our center offers the full range of treatment services for back pain and spinal disorders, including the latest surgical techniques. At our Acute Spinal Cord Center, diagnostic imaging and computer-navigated surgery allow us to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Brain Tumor Institute
We are a nationally recognized leader in brain and spinal cord tumors. Our neurosurgeons treat approximately 7,000 brain and spinal cord tumor patients each year and perform nearly 1,000 brain and spinal cord tumor-related surgeries annually.
Our neurological surgery program works closely with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, the #1 Rehabilitation Hospital in the United States.
